IBA Karachi, Chaudhry Manufacturing, and Chiniot Youth Foundation Trust Partner to Expand Access for Chinioti Scholars
April 6, 2026 Main Campus, IBA Karachi
The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi is pleased to announce a dual partnership with Chaudhry Shafiq Manufacturing (Pvt) Ltd. and the Chiniot Youth Foundation Trust. The collaboration marks a meaningful step in IBA's commitment to broadening access — bringing a community-rooted model of scholarship support into the fold.
The Memoranda of Understanding were signed by Dr. S. Akbar Zaidi, Executive Director of IBA Karachi, Mr. Muhammad Kashif Sheikh, CEO of Chaudhry Shafiq Manufacturing (Pvt) Ltd., and Mr. Abdullah Khalid (Shari), Founder of the Chiniot Youth Foundation Trust.
A Bridge for Community Talent
The Chinioti community has a long-standing history of entrepreneurship and industrial contribution to Pakistan. Through this partnership, the Chiniot Youth Foundation Trust and Chaudhry Shafiq Manufacturing are ensuring that the next generation of this community has access to world-class business education at IBA — with a dedicated support system built from within their own network.
During the signing ceremony, leadership discussed how community-specific support helps address barriers that students from diverse backgrounds often face. Scholars under this programme will benefit not only from financial assistance but also from mentorship and a peer network rooted in shared experience.
Flexible Support for Sustainable Success
The partnership introduces a revolving scholarship disbursement model designed to respond to scholars' evolving needs over the course of their studies.
- Long-term Sustainability: The revolving structure allows the fund to grow in reach over time, supporting an increasing number of scholars across successive cohorts.
- Greater Diversity: By reducing financial barriers to entry, IBA's classrooms continue to reflect the breadth of talent across Pakistan.
- Holistic Development: Beyond tuition support, the agreement explores pathways for internships and professional placements within Chaudhry Shafiq Manufacturing's operations — bridging the gap between graduation and career.
IBA Karachi looks forward to welcoming scholars under this partnership and to deepening its ties with the Chinioti business community in the years ahead.
